Getting Started

What is PrepForge?

PrepForge is a study tool for building course-based practice quizzes, reviewing missed questions, and tracking weak areas over time.

Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. The main workflow is designed around courses, chapters, pasted questions, quizzes, and review. JSON import is only an advanced option.

Can I create my own courses?

Yes. You can create courses, add chapters, import or paste questions, and build quizzes from your own material.

Courses and Questions

Can PrepForge import chapters from an ISBN?

It can try to create an empty chapter outline from public metadata. If no reliable outline is found, the course still saves and you can add chapters manually.

Can I edit saved questions?

Yes. User-created questions can be edited, deleted, or bulk edited from the course setup flow.

What question types are supported?

PrepForge supports multiple choice, select-all-that-apply, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, short answer, and case-based questions.

Can I paste formatted questions?

Yes. Paste questions in the supported format, review the parsed preview, then save the valid questions to your chapter.

Quizzes and Review

What is the difference between practice and exam mode?

Practice mode is for lower-pressure study. Exam mode is intended to feel more like a test, with results reviewed at the end.

Why does PrepForge ask for confidence?

Confidence helps identify guesses, strong areas, and answers that need another look. It is used to personalize review without judging the student.

Can I retake missed questions?

Yes. Results and History include retake options for missed questions and other review-focused sets.

Why are old quiz attempts saved?

Each completed quiz is saved as a past attempt so you can review what you saw, how you answered, and whether you are improving.
